Wake up to sea views every day with a stay at this Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, lying just a ten-minute stroll from the coast in the sleepy seaside village of Newport in Pembrokeshire. Pop around the estuary to the dog-friendly Newport Sands Beach (a nine-minute drive) for kite flying, sandcastle building, and picnicking - or up the ante with board boarding and kayaking. Mosey around the galleries or find a sunny spot at one of the street cafes or gastropubs in the village (a ten-minute walk). Or jump in the car for a day trip to Pembrokeshire's other hotspots along the western coast, including St David's and Tenby. Back at the beautifully restored townhouse, the stunning kitchen extension leading out onto the pretty walled garden is the heart of the home here. Flooded with natural light thanks to the bifold doors, it's a wonderful spot to gather everyone. Cooking is a dream in the matt-black shaker-style kitchen, with everything you'll need to whip up feasts. Dish up inside at the dining table in the sunroom with views out over the garden – the underfloor heating keeps things toasty in the winter months. Or dine alfresco and catch the last of the sun from the raised patio in the summer months. Upstairs, the elegant bedrooms spread out over two floors, and each commands the most spectacular vistas of the beach, estuary, and sea beyond. Trust us – it's a scene you'll never tire of here.

About Cardiff
Wales’ capital is a cracking mix of something old and something new. There’s an ancient castle right in the centre, with 2000 years’ worth of history to walk around. There’s a modern waterfront ‘down the bay’, where you can watch opera or ballet at the gleaming Wales Millenium Centre, tour the eco-friendly Senedd (Welsh Parliament) building or take a thrilling rib ride. There are beautifully preserved Victorian arcades to explore,...
